News Letter Page Our News letter is published monthly Across the Fence Will March bring us better weather or are we headed for the record books with more snow and cold temps? We should consider ourselves lucky when you see what the rest of the country is experiencing. FROM THE FEED CORNER: March is usually the month for booking agriculture products. This year as I write the newsletter we do not have a date set for our booking days. You will be notified if we have our open house and booking days in March otherwise we will have them in April. Stock up on your mineral needs. March is KENT FEEDS mineral promotion month. BETTER DEAL THAN PAST YEARS. Buy 9 bags get 1 bag free on many minerals. Some KENT FEEDS mineral are still buy 10 bags get 1 bag free. This is the time of year when we remind the cow calf man about the LFG Range Cow Mineral we make. This mineral is also a protein source and helps to prevent scours & cocci in the newborn calves. Many of you have become true believers in this product. Each year we show increased sales of this product. We have added some distillers to lower the cost of the mineral. Visit with us on how this Range Cow Mineral can help you. FROM THE GRAIN BIN: Are you checking your grain bins? We have removed ice chucks over 2 inches thick from a couple of our bins. I think if you have good fans on your bin you will be able to air dry the grain when the weather warms up. You will need to run the fans for weeks instead of days. Many farmers are wondering if they missed the price highs already. We always have weather scares. Are you going to get the crop planted or will the snow still be melting. Will we get a single drop of rain in July and August? About this time last year the bean market started to take off due to the drought in South America.
